🎻 Finding Joy Again: OPSA’s New Adult Music Class
At Oak Park String Academy, we believe music is for everyone — not just for children learning their first Suzuki pieces, but for the adults who cheer them on, too.
We’ve heard it from parents, grandparents, and community members alike: “I’ve always wanted to play.” Or, “I used to play when I was younger, and I miss it.”
So this winter, we’re thrilled to introduce a new offering: the OPSA Adult Music Class — a space to rediscover creativity, connection, and calm through music.
A Space to Breathe and Play
In a world that rarely slows down, this class offers a small, welcome escape — one evening a week, devoted entirely to music-making and joy. You don’t need to be a virtuoso (or even know how to hold a bow). You just need curiosity and a willingness to explore sound in community.
Participants will learn and play together in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere guided by OPSA faculty. We’ll explore ensemble playing, basic technique, and the simple pleasure of creating something beautiful — together.
